சென்னையில் ஒரு மழைக்காலம் (Monsoon in Chennai)

Though there is a popular belief that Chennai's weather can be classified into only three categories, (hot, hotter and hottest !!), the climate prevailing now is just perfect for the festive season, and people like me having a pre-exam vacation.

Waking up in the morning and instantly feeling a cool breeze from the other side of the window caress the face is a real pleasure. The pleasure doubles when I know I can fall back to the bed, this time covering my face with blanket, and realizing there is no college to prevent me from snugly curling up and going back to sleep again.

Hot coffee at 8, sitting in the balcony and watching the sun slowly peek from the clouds, spreading a cool sunshine all around is like, Hmmm, cant explain in words. The overnight rain has washed my bike clean, and a ride to the beach is a perfect way to start the day.

By 10, I am home alone and jobless. Playing Yanni's "Enchantment" , I take The Greatness Guide and randomly browse it, only to find that Robin Sharma is advising everyone to take time out of their busy schedule and spend time with nature. This makes me look out of the window again, and lo, the sky is just perfectly overcast to make it look like its just 6:30 AM. The trees branches and leaves are embossed with tiny droplets of water, each shining like a pearl, thanks to the refracting sunrays.

I see a beautiful chestnut colored squirrel staring at me from a nearby branch. Its clutching to a small piece of guava and grinding into it with its rice like projecting teeth. Indeed, how relaxing it is to just keep watching nature's beauty ! Take a break everyone. Spend a day doing what ever you feel like, giving no thought to what lies in store for tomorrow. You will find yourself recharged to the fullest by the end of the day, so that routine can be resumed in a much better way tomorrow.

PS: Thanks to my friend Christy for nudging me to write this blog !!
